The Southern Indiana Sports Center (SISC) is a special use sports facility center located just behind the IUS Sports Complex in the Park East Industrial Park area of New Albany, at 620 Park East Blvd.  This special use facility offers year round activities available to Floyd County residents.

This building was designed to offer indoor sports to local children, young adults, and adults.  There are seasonal adult basketball and volleyball leagues in the Spring, Fall and Winter seasons.  There are also tournaments booked and people visit from all over the United States during these tournaments.

This building includes a concession area, pro-shop, restroom/shower facilities, and seating for attendees of games.  There is also a weight room available with treadmills, weights, and stationary bike equipment.  The actual office of the Floyd County Parks Department is located upstairs along with the maintenance division.    There are special events booked at various times of the year.  Some events hosted include Little Treasures, Lights on After School, Midnight Basketball, Southern Indiana Gymnastics (SIGS), and Eclectic Kombat “Revelation” MMA Fight Night.  A continual frequent user group is the Union Volleyball Club.  Union is one of the largest, fastest growing volleyball clubs in the region.  The Southern Indiana Sports Center can also be rented and used for Birthday parties with the use of a court(s).  There are 4 courts available to rent for open gym recreation, practice, lessons, and tournaments.

We have a Walking Club and our members enjoy walking free year round in a temperature controlled environment in our open gym facility.  The members can enjoy walking Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 10 AM in any kind of weather.
