Work on installing the new bridge on Lewis A. Endres Parkway leading into Kevin Hammersmith Memorial Park began today, April 7th.  Local contractors, Fulkerson Contracting, Inc. and Padgett Crane are working on the project.  The new bridge should be completed by May 1st, weather permitting.

The Floyd County Commissioners approved two additional contracts for the park on Tuesday.  Temple and Temple was awarded the Traffic Signal and entrance road improvements as well as the park improvements--earthwork, installation of utilities, installing a 3/4 mile pedway and a 300 space parking lot.  Work should be completed by late summer.
